This is a French "four glass" mantel clock with bevelled glass, a brass frame and acanthus leaves to the front.

The top and base are mahogany with bun feet. The enamel dial has Arabic numerals, garlands and pierced brass hands. The eight-day gong striking movement with a mercury pendulum is not signed.
