This is an eight-day ships or bulkhead clock by Thomas Mercer of London, England.

The eight inch painted dial has Arabic numerals, spade hands, centre seconds and slow-fast regulation below the No. 12 and a going-barrel movement. The clock has a cast brass bezel with a keylock and a bevelled glass retreat (used to be built into a wall!)
